This must be factored into your pricing and postage strategy. However, isolation also means less competition from eastern states resellers for local sourcing — Perth op shops and markets are less picked-over.
Perth resellers need to be strategic about postage. For lightweight items, the cost difference is minimal. For heavier items, it can be significant. Consider: offering free postage on lightweight items (absorbed into pricing), using calculated postage for heavy items, and focusing on high-value/low-weight items to maximise margin after postage. eBay's buyer base is national, so most of your sales will ship interstate.
